Lone Star Gold, Inc. is a publicly traded gold exploration and development company based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Company's aggressive acquisition and exploration approach is strategically focused on proven, stable precious metal regions in America and Mexico. Currently, Lone Star has a 70% Working Interest in concessions covering 800 hectares in the La Candelaria project in Chihuahua, Mexico, which the Company is evaluating to determine the sites that represent the best potential for silver and gold deposits. Lone Star also has an undivided 65% interest in the San Antonio del Potrero mine tailings project in Chihuahua, Mexico, which is expected to begin 6-8 years of production in February 2012 (recovery of silver and by-products including gold, zinc and lead from a resource of 1.2 million tons). The Company's current acquisition plans include expanding in the Mexico area while targeting Alaska and other potential US locations The Company is well financed, having entered into a USD$15 million line of equity agreement on August 26th, 2011, with Hong Kong based equity investor North American Gold Corp (NAGC). The agreement does not involve any debt, but rather involves the Company drawing down from the $15M amount as and when needed in $100,000 multiples in exchange for NAGC receiving Lone Star shares. Lone Star is to specifically use the proceeds to fund operating expenses, working capital and general corporate activities related to the exploration and development of the Company's gold and silver mining projects.
