The Company was incorporated on August 25, 1988 and is headquartered in Quincy, Illinois. Its mission, through its subsidiaries, is to provide comprehensive financial products and services to its retail, institutional and corporate customers. First Bankers Trust Company, N.A. (the Bank) is a community-oriented financial institution which traces its beginnings to 1946, operates in 10 banking facilities in 5 counties in central and western Illinois. First Bankers Trust Services, Inc. (the Trust Company) is a national provider of fiduciary services to individual retirement accounts, personal trusts, and employee benefit plans. It is headquartered in Quincy Illinois and operates offices in Hinsdale, IL, St. Peters, MO, Phoenix, AZ, Philadelphia, PA, Atlanta, GA and Springfield, IL. FBIL II and FBIL III were capitalized in 2003 and 2004, respectively, for the purpose of issuing Company Obligated Mandatorily Redeemable Preferred Securities.
