Pan Pacific International Holdings Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, operates retail stores. It operates through Retail Business and Tenant Leasing Business segments. The Retail Business segment operates convenience and discount stores, and general discount stores, which sell electrical appliances, daily commodities, foods, watches, fashion goods, sporting goods, leisure equipment, do-it-yourself (DIY) products, and others. This segment operates its convenience and discount stores under the Don Quijote name; general discount stores under the MEGA Don Quijote name; GMS stores under the Nagasakiya name; and DIY stores under the Doit name. The Tenant Leasing Business segment rents and manages retail properties to tenants. The company is also involved in real estate management business. As of June 30, 2018, it operated approximately 418 stores comprising 379 stores in Japan; 28 stores Hawaii and 9 stores in California, the United States; and 2 stores in Singapore. The company was formerly known as Don Quijote Holdings Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Pan Pacific International Holdings Corporation in February 2019. Pan Pacific International Holdings Corporation was founded in 1980 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
